PROCEDURAL SUPPORT
Sessions can often include
developmentally appropriate preparation for an upcoming medical/dental procedure or well visit such as surgery, lab draw, MRI, immunizations, teeth cleaning or exam
procedural support and coaching of distraction and relaxation techniques, guided imagery, etc
new diagnosis education and support for diabetes, cancer treatments, etc
COPING SUPPORT
Sessions can often include
individualized activities that encourage emotional expression and processing
coaching and rehearsal of distraction and relaxation techniques, guided imagery, mindfulness, etc.

how best to advocate for and support your child for an upcoming procedure, surgery or well visit
